I just received the latest blurb from IATP (Institute for Agriculture and Trade

Policy), based locally, and thought I'd pass on event information. This is a

great organization to join and support for agriculture/trade information.

2/23/10 - State Capitol - Healthy Legacy Day 10 a.m. discussion about why we

need green products for cleaning, used in schools. Contact: peter@... for

3/6/10 - Willey Hall, U of MN - What's In Your Water? 10 a.m. until noon.

Sponsored by Healthy Legacy and the League of Women Voters, a discussion,

lecture about the emerging contaminants in our water, such as endocrine

disruptors.

3/12-3/14/10 - Macalester College - For students and others - Midwest Real Food

Summit

Discuss, share, analyze how/where the student movements fit into the larger

context of social change and regional food movement. A look at the power of

3/13-3/15/10 - Beijing, China - International Worshop on Sustainable Food and

Agriculture. IATP and (People's) University of Beijing have organized this

conference to identify sustainable solutions to International food systems

problems.
