Guest guest
On the subject of a new teapot. I'm pretty sure Liz Lipski told me one time that she has a glass one! I've lusted after one ever since... Kathy
Guest guest
Years ago (early 1970's) I had a glass tea kettle made by Pyrex. Actually, I had two, a small one and a large one. Along life's way, I lost them. However, a couple of years ago I found a small one (original Pyrex) in an " antique " shop in Iowa as I was traveling through. It is round, holds about 6 cups and is great for boiling water for tea or whatever (actually only holds 4 cups for boiling; if more it boils over). Totally non-toxic. Wish we could get the company to make them again.
Guest guest
Well, THAT would be ideal! I use my stainless steel tea kettle every day, sometimes several times a day. To have a glass teapot that is a tea kettle would be the ultimate I think! I was picturing a clear class one, but I assume this was white? Guest guest
I used to have one of those! You can still find them in thrift/second-hand stores sometimes. Guest guest
Some brands I have heard of (rice cookers) but have no experience with: Aroma NRC-1000 Nutriware 18-Cup Whole Grain Gourmet Digital Rice Cooker, Food Steamer and Pasta Cooker Stainless Steel Rice Cooker Model ME81 (Formerly ME8) - by Miracle Exclusives Sunpentown SC-886 3-Cup Stainless-Steel Rice Cooker and Steamer Tayama 10 Cup Stainless Steel Rice Cooker Oyama CFS-B18U All Stainless Rice Cooker All of these are on Amazon and have stainless steel pots....no non-stick. For glass kettles, I've seen an electric one called Capresso.....also on Amazon. Again, I haven't tried this or know anyone who has one. Hope this helps with your search. Guest guest
I just did a search on glass tea pots on Amazon and many possibilities popped up......most regular tea pots and one that could go directly on the stove.
