Tonight we had a wonderful dinner of baked walleye and real wild rice cooked in

homemade chicken stock and topped with sauteed onions and shitake/maitake

mushrooms with the whole thing drizzled with sliced almonds browned in butter.

It was so good and rich that we ate the accompanying vegies plain!

I have some oats soaking for tomorrow's pancakes that I will serve with some

homemade chicken or turkey sausage patties, more butter and real maple syrup.

Fall has arrived! What are YOU cooking?

YUMMY! What time is din-din tomorrow night?? ;)

We're making East Indian Dosa....a lentil and rice fermented flatbread, and

eating it with fresh organic spinach and lamb - an Indian dish, along with

fermented mango & apricot chutney & yogurt.

I'm continuing to experiment with my breakfast oven pancakes, but tomorrow

is oatmeal for us, too! I'm making my weekly oatmeal souffle with dates,

pecans, cream cheese (or Quark), cinnamon and lots and lots of eggs and

cream.

I just happen to think that in life we need to be a little like the farmer,

who puts back into the soil what he takes out " ~ Newman

Deut 11:15 He will put grass in the fields for your cattle, and you will

have plenty to eat.
