Guest guest
Welcome to the list. Your accident sounds awful. What kind of medication are you on and what is the cause of the pain ? I realize the foot was cut off but is the pain you feel now because of the surgeries ? Is it something that with time could go away ? I am one of the 4 moderators on the list. I have back problems which eventually turned into a progressive degeneration of the discs and the pain I feel is because of the pinching of the nerves in part. When I injured myself 25 or so years ago, I was then told to stay away from any exercise as it would make things worse. As a result, I believe that part of my pain is because my back muscles are too weak to help me in my daily activities and now things have gone so bad that exercise is no longer an option. Over time, all the medications have had some effect or other to the point where I now have to take meds to counteract meds. It's become a vicious circle. Glad you found us.
