Guest guest
Hello, all! I have a 2 yo male patient with an uncircumcised penis. His mom reports much fussiness/ discomfort from 5 - 8 AM. He seems to fuss, pull at his erect penis and testicles. Once his erection goes away and he urinates, he seems to calm down to his nirmal happy self. So, is he uncomfortable because he can't urinate with an erection or is he uncomfortable because he has an erection. His pediatrician (MD) suggests that his foreskin should be retracted completely to ease this discomfort. I've always thought that you should never retract an uncircumcised foreskin, but let it retract on its own. Encouraging the foreskin to gradually stretch, I'm okay with, but forcing it I'm not on board with. Please, educate me so that I can help! Thank you! Leigh Dr. Leigh H.
