Guest guest
Here's a once-a-year opportunity to find out where your milk comes from...really! This is the weekend of their annual OPEN HOUSE, and, believe me, the Koska family does it ALL up right. It's an easy drive right down I-94, under 100 miles from Minneapolis and a real " insider's view " of how organic dairying goes. You can also visit their own restaurant and cheese shop, the FOSTER CHEESE HAUS right at Exit 81 (, WI) on I-94 where you turn off anyway to go to the farm and creamery. They are only about 4 miles north of the freeway and there will be signs. The turn-off is the last one before Osseo, WI. Wait until you've seen what Wayne Koska has done with the architecture! Bring your cooler and stock up with the incredible CR cheeses and dairy products. When you go to the Cheese Haus, you can fill your secone cooler with unusual (and unavailable in the TC area) local organic microbrew beers (probably 50 varieties), artisanal cheeses and sausages from farmers all over WI as well as amazing beer and microbrew liquor. All in all, an amazing experience. One you won't forget. Be sure to bring the tykes.
