I think as long as you're using the gel/juice exclusively, you'll be fine. It is the latex that has the laxative/bowel stimulating effect. Much like castor oil's use to " induce " labor at the end of pregnancy, the laxative effect can irritate the uterus and start contractions. However, if a pregnancy is viable and the embryo/fetus is " sticky " it is unlikely that castor oil or whole aloe will do anything other than give mom diarrhea unless her body is good and ready for labor. But again, as long as you're using the gel/juice, it should be safe throughout.

I have searched for and found theoretical contraindications for the internal use of aloe during pregnancy due to it's uterine stimulating properties...

I would love experience/ opinions on using it during the first trimester of pregnancyThanks  N.D.
