This is so true Bb, we are like sitting ducks, you talk about RX meds, the same applies to solicitors, then if we count in therapies, it is completely bank breaking and the most annoying thing is we are talking about things that should be our childrens right to receive.

We are still paying the cost of tribunals, over 20K which we lost and over rated solicitor didn't even have the good grace to discuss what went wrong without us agreeing to use her again for appeal!!

I have really tried to expose this disgusting business by reporting to Law Society and The Bar Council, I have put in official complaints to hospital, I have had Ombudsman investigate, I have been in the newspaper and still it continues.

Even small stuff like resources for signing will set you back.

In the early years when I was naive I spoke to one of the ABA providers might have been PEACH don't remember now and they told me their tutor or whatever they are called was £100 an hour, this would be at least 8 years ago, when I asked her why so much, she said they were university graduates, I still questioned the hourly rate, she said she would call me back, and never did.

We have had to come to the simple choice of autistic child without a roof over his head or cutting everything to the bone, so for now it is supplements and supplements alone, no more docs, lawyers, or anyone else who will give me all the answers if we would just give them our card number.

I have a uni degree (2 actually) and no one in my whole poverty

stricken life has ever paid me 100 pounds or even bucks, an hour.

No, its cause we are as you say, sitting ducks. I know for a fact one

ABA outfit (cause I overheard them) say " no, thats not enough " ,

during one of their meetings, " we can charge more, they WILL pay " ).

All right for the well heeled, but the rest of us can go to hell. I

dont know many single mums living in housing estates using ABA. Our

consultant charged me 450 for half a day, plus flights and expenses.

Normally i wouldnt pay anyone that, nothing was worth that, until my

son was dx'ed with autism, then the tables turned its always

different when its for your kids right? Problem is, we are afraid and

and are not going to bitch about this, particularly where doctors are

concerned cause we are scared to be brushed off their patient list,

so we put up with it - we need these prescriptions and they know we

cant get them from local GP's etc.

those who work with these " doctors " on our behalf should be speaking

up - the nutritionists, the consultants, etc.,
