Guest guest
My 6-year old has had a runny nose for about 2 weeks. It's not green/yellow, but it's crusty and sore and she's raw underneath her nose from wiping. I've been using an ointment with almond oil, coconut oil, lavender, calendula, and some other stuff. It helped at first but doesn't seem to be doing much now. Suggestions??? I really don't want to take her to the doc. All they will do is give her an antibiotic or some ointment with heaven knows what junk in it. So, runny nose... Saline wash? She won't like it, but I know it will help. Other ideas? Raw, red nostrils. Tea tree oil, or is that too strong? She wakes up with everything just caked over. I know it hurts, but I get her wiped clean. Then I put some of the ointment on and have her put it up inside her nostrils. It would be great if she could repeat it during the school day but that's not an option. Last, does anyone have a recommendation for a naturopath or homeopath that might be near to Brooklyn Park/Brooklyn Center? Someone in the North/Northwest suburbs?? Otherwise, we'd have to see someone on a weekend and that's usually not possible. Thanks for any suggestions and help! Jenn
