Guest guest
Network Blitz Bobbie: All the doctor did for us was to make up a prescription for physical therapy and send it to me. I, in turn, mailed it to the Home Health Care that I had contacted myself. They came to our house and did a workup on my husband assessing his needs. Since I have a 4 day a week caregiver that helps me, we needed no nursing care or lab work at that time, so we scheduled the physical therapist three times a week. She came for about 5 weeks, and at the same time taught myself and our caregiver all the physical therapy and left us a manual. When she felt she had done all she could she then is compelled to stop. It was all paid by Medicare directly to them as they are a total Medicare agency. My husband has benefited from it greatly, and he is finally walking every day again after over 5 months in the wheel chair, or walking only with assistance. Re: Dry or flaking skin and scalp. My husband had some of that and he used to use Tegrin Shampoo, plus a tube of cream the doctor prescribed for around his sideburn and nose area, but after I started showering him and using all the stuff I do for my hair, and shaving him and using lotion and oil on him.....it stopped :-] What does that say about the ladies!! Thanks, Cheryl....we are still on the upswing. His cognizance is pretty good, and he is walking every where and remembering things so well. For our 7th year - this is good.
