Cream - Yeasty?

Ok, guys. I am also experimenting and have not bought any commercial

cultures. I set out a few cups of cream about a day and half ago and

it now smells somewhat yeasty and after shaking has some bubbles. Is

this normal? What am I making? :-)

The yogurt I made earlier in the week turned out pretty good

although doesn't have much flavor. It is thin but definitely yogurt,

and I have eaten it twice without getting sick so I am happy about

that.

We also made butter which turned out good. My husband really likes

it. It has a strong flavor which I'm not sure I like, but I will

keep working with it. We set the cream out for a few days before

making that, and it did not get bubbly like this other batch.
