Hi Dom,

I recently bought a continuous fermentation jar from this website in the UK

- it may be worth seeing if they ship to France. They are not glass, but

pottery, with a wooden spigot. The smallest they do is 6 litres - £60.00 plus

shipping - not at all cheap, very beautiful though, and has produced lovely KT.

I have two of these also, and will say they were worth every penny-they will

never need to be replaced unless broken. Makes the whole process much easier.

Look for iced tea jugs. They are glass gallon jars with secure

plastic spigots on the bottom, just above the yeasty sediment site,

and they also have lids (which you don't use for KT making). In the

US, these are all over the place: in Kmart/Walmart/Target-type

stores, as well as Hardware stores that have a kitchen isle. I have

also seen these in grocery stores, but mostly in the summer time, as

Iced Tea is usually a warm weather drink. They cost around $5 or so,

I have bought one on clearance for $2.50, and a couple of times in

Thrift stores for $1.

I'm sorry I don't have any European knowledge, but I wish you well.

Searching for Iced Tea Jugs should help.

Good Luck!

Blessings,

Beth
