Guest guest
Hi All- I have a 10 m old patient that is having 'episodes'. MD is having mom record everything- diet, feeding schedule, BM, mood, position he is in etc before doing anymore work up. All systems are developing normally otherwise. First episode was at 6 m of age, mild. The episode consist of stiffening of arms, occasionally legs. Face tightens up. No eyes rolling back, no uncontrolled bowels. Lasts 3-8 seconds. Baby seems fine after. Happens usually when he is lying down, and seemed to be associated with feeding but not 100%. MD says that they are not true seizures. No other work up yet. Hx of reflux and colic and subsequent medication use, 3 weeks premature. I have not seen this patient yet and am just trying to get ideas or see if others have seen this presentation before. I am considering Cuprum. I am wondering if it could be some vago-vagal response....any thoughts would be wonderful!Kathleen Pratt NDOne Family Medicine LLCLocated within Springwater Wellness Center6214 SE Milwaukie Ave Portland OR 97202P: www.onefamilymedicine.com
