Guest guest
Hi, I haven't been able to post recently but I have been reading my mail. I wanted to let you all in on what's been going on. My daughter who is 8 has been suffering from headaches for the last 1 1/2 years. Now this is a hard thing to pin point, is she just not wanting to go to school or does she really have a headache? She has been saying that her head hurts and her stomach. The doctors have just told me to try to see if there is any correlation with some foods she eats. Well, last Monday she fainted on the playground. My husband took her to the doctor and her blood pressure was elevated and it was obvious that she had a headache. He asked us to bring her back 3 more times to have her b/p checked. The next day I decided enough was enough and I wanted some tests run on her. A lot of ridiculous things transpired but the bottom line was an MRI was ordered. In the meantime she had a headache so bad she was begging me to take her to the hospital. Up to this point no one would give us anything for her pain. Her b/p at the ER was 185 over 100! Her normal is 100/62. The MRI was done on Wednesday but we gave her Valium before because she was so upset about the test. Instead of calming her it did the opposite. They were only able to take 2 sets of films and she was so upset they could not do the contrast dye. We still have no results from the tests. Needless to say I'm scared and feel so helpless when she's in so much pain. Sorry for the length of the post, but I just needed to vent. Thank you, Kathleen in California
