Hi all,

Here is a site that promotes research into what is probably the " real " cause

of CJD and/or Mad Cow Disease.

http://www.cjddiagnosticcenter.com/index.htm

I've been following Dr. O. Bastian's work for about three years now.

He's been studying Spiroplasmas for over twenty years. His latest paper

links them even more directly to CJD, sheep scrapies and TSE diseases.

In various papers and articles he has stated that " Prions " are a

" red-herring " . Prions are probably caused by spiroplasmas, and are used by

them to hide from the body's immune system.

When he injects S. mirum into young rats, they not only develop TSE, they

also develop cataracts. Cataracts only develop with the S. mirum species.

Check out the various categories on his website. Unfortunately, Prusiner's

prion theory gets the most funding. Gee, the government backs the research that

goes down the wrong path...deja vu ad nauseum.

If spiroplasmas are truly the cause of CJD, we, us Rifers. would have a chance.

We should beable to find frequencies that would take out the offenders. This

would not be the case with prions. Not many of us could take 1500 degrees F. for

30 minutes with bleach, that one scientist says it takes to destroy them.

IMHO mycoplasmas and spiroplasmas are not given the right amount of emphasis in

disease research. I think they may be the basis for many disease-like states not

yet attributed to them.

Anyway it's food for thought.

Take care,

Bob Dunn
