Guest guest
Hi , I have used black cherry juice concentrate as an acute remedy for gout with several patients with great success. (available at Whole Foods, New Seasons, etc. and works within 24 hours.) I guess it would depend on what you are trying to accomplish. Whenever patients ask me about these types of things on the internet I always ask how this fits within our naturopathic treatment paradigm. Are we treating symptoms or the cause? Perhaps others in the group will be more expansive about the possible mechanism of action of cherry juice, but until I have a clearer understanding of this, I'm not substituting this for any of the basic treatment guidelines or incorporating it in my recommendations for general preventive health.
