Unda and IBS / Bad reaction to Undas

Hello Unda Docs -

I have a 74 yo female patient seen currently for IBS type symptoms (gas,

bloating, occasional diarrhea) that all are all worse when has stress. Patient

eats a good anti-inflam diet, is good weight, exercises and is an otherwise

healthy 74 yo. (Does have underlying osteoporosis and was put on annual Reclast

in Jan 2011).

I have had her on Klaire Therbiotic Complete Probiotics, FOS/Inula prebiotcs,

digestive enzymes, fish oil for many many months. I put her on Unda #3,9,24 1

week ago. She took three doses (5 drops TID) and contacted me stating she

developed tachycardia, weakness, " uneasiness to stomach " , and dizziness. Patient

stopped the Unda and these symptoms resolved.

I am somewhat new to Unda (did Dr. Thom's 7-week course in the spring) so I

contacted the Seroyal clinician. Clinician agreed with my Unda combo, but

recommended the patient take just 1 drop of each remedy combined in a bottle of

water and drink throughout the day slowly building up this dosing over weeks.

I recommended this to the patient, but she is not interested in trying Unda

again. (Patient's daughter is also an MD and has recommended she not restart.)

Any other ideas of how to address this or possible MD " friendly " explanations

for the reaction other than " cellular drainage was too quick and need to start

slower. "

I would add another thought on a theoretical basis. You have a 74 years old patient, who is on at least one pharmaceutical. She has a history of digestive problems, which almost certainly means that she is in a toxemic state for a number of years, probably most of her life. She is therefore toxic. I do not know the details of the case except what was provided. When I have seen "bad" reactions to Undas, it is because I started too soon at the lesional level, and should have begun with a more basic formula to open the emunctories at a more foundational level, starting with 1, 20, 243. I think what happens is that the Undas begin to stimulate drainage at the lesion, but the pathways of detoxification are not fully open so there is a sudden release of toxins into a system not prepared to handle them, and the disturbing symptoms result.

A side note. If she has SIBO, which is likely if there is IBS like this, FOS

can make things worse by feeding bifidus type bacteria in the distal small
