I was wondering if anyone with older girls has tried that medication [ can't

think of the name ] to delay periods and if so any side effects ? We are

approaching that age and not looking forward to it.

Hi, I love to read other people's stories, so I guess it was time for me

to open up. Becca weighs 31 lbs, and is 37 1/2 " tall. I give her 1

10mg tablet at about 730am, 1 at about 3pm and some nights one at like

730pm. I crush the tablet and sprinkle it on applesauce. I've noticed

her poops firming up a bit, but they still smell like toxic waste.

She's eating very well while on the stuff, and she's not gagging the way

she always used to. We haven't had her get so upset that she vomits

while on the Pepcid, either, so we are VERY pleased. It used to be one

of us was being vomited on at least 2x a week. No hyperactivity, she's

playing very nicely nowadays, and her speech is the clearest it's ever

been. Not to mention her gross motor skills have improved a bit too.

I've tried giving her 2 10mg tabs at one time to see if it made a

difference, but nothing really noticeable, so I figure why use up the

Pepcid quicker?

Eileen,

My husband is a pharmacist and is concerned about giving a lot of Pepcid.

We were just wondering, did you get this dosage recommended to you by a

physician or another pharmacist?

Thanks, alot. We're really motivated to try this.

Hi, around here, BOCES stands for Board of ative Educational

Services. Basically, it's education for Special Needs kids, adults,

displaced homemakers, high school NT kids that have dropped out and want

vocational training, i.e., auto mechanics, nursing, cosmetology.

Becca will be going in to the " BEARS " program which is specifically for

Autistic children. It's been highly recommended by many people. For

the life of me, I cannot remember what " BEARS " stands for but I know the

last 3 letters are for autistic related spectrum.

Welcome!

I am glad you join us. My daughter is Jen and she is 10 years old soon to be

11.

Jen had antibiotics and of course her baby shots when she was younger. She

had 3 operations on her eyes before she was a year old and 1 operation on

her eyes a few years later. Normal birth... but my four month of pregnancy I

had what the doctor believed might have been food poisoning, because I had a

high white count. They said the baby was fine after a sonogram and sent me

home. Jen was born with Pthosis (eyelids did not open). What was to be a

simple operation turned into a staff infection and three more operations on

her eyes. Jen is starting to talk and she can now understand what I tell her

most of the time. Jen is not potty trained, but she is now willing to sit on

the potty and she has learned one use for toilet paper. Toilet cloggier...

works great ever time!

Take Care and God Bless All,

Beverly Weakley

Mom of Jen... Autistic age 10 years and 9 month

Hi All:

Just a brief note to introduce myself. I'm a 40yo Admin. Secretary

here at UNC and have quit smoking (and consequently put on a few pounds ;) ).

However, I'm feelin' great, and learning to love life more and more! I think

that tae bo will add to my enjoyment and certainly will add to my total health

and well-being.

I wish each of you the very best in your goals. Know that we'll all

get there - in our own way. I'm really glad to be a part of the Tae bo

family! Take care and God bless...
