Guest guest
Deb, I sympathize greatly with your flare-up situation. I know what that can be like. Deep diaphragm breathing & relaxation and efflurage (self massage) can all help a little, especially when you " tense-up " . Some Fibro patients respond to heat. Others prefer cold packs. Personally I enjoy a hot whirlpool bath to relax tense, spasmodic muscles. Getting your spouse/significant other to massage you or going to a professional massager helps a few, most of the rest of us don't seem to want to be touched by anybody...makes my wife cry. Do you have pain medication? My symptoms can be " fogged out " with the pain medications I am now receiving (11 days and counting). But if I miss a scheduled dose, boy, am I in big trouble pain-wise! As to " Brain Fog " I have to add a couple of others things I have done: Looking for my glasses while they were on my face. Laying papers, car keys, etc., down and immediately forgetting where I put them; then spending the next three hours just looking for them. Once I found the car keys I'd lost on top of the refrigerator! I fairly short...so why would I have put them on top of the refrigerator? Good wishes, Ray

Guest guest
Ray: Now other than the short part you described my day as if you were watching me!!!!! I have a fog most of the time especially when I'm excessively tired, or in a lot of pain. Pain can cause the body and mind to do strange things. J. & The Hounds of Hoopeston jkeith@... Today has been a real bummer as far as " Brain Fog " is concerned. When people ask questions like " What is so-an-so's name? " I have to answer, " If you hadn't asked me, I would have been able to tell you. " LOL! My mind drifts in the middle of conversations, especially if anything else is going on nearby. After living most of my life with what others called " an amazing memory, " I now have no memory. Ray

Guest guest
Hi My fog for today ,,, not being able to remember my *carpet laying * step-sons phone number when someone called here to try to set up a job. Try to explain that to a complete stranger. I got a doozy of a migraine today and my doc had given me some samples of Maxalt 10's...boy do they work. I've had been having good success with Zomig for about a year, and suddenly it stopped working, I was maxing out on my daily intake. This new one really took it away quick, only draw back was that I got very very sleepy and then in a really foggy state. Or maybe it's just that this was the last Friday the 13th of the Millennium. deb Q in KS
