Hi ,

Since (my wife) has this issue, we experience this occasionally. What we

find works best is multifactorial:

First, limit eating out and be VERY cautious as gluten and flour is used in so

much, almost everything! (soups, french fries, soy sauce, etc!).

Second, she is often " out " for up to 2 weeks if she gets to large of an

exposure. Expect up to 2 weeks to fully recover energy, digestive and musculo

symtpoms.

Third, we use GlutenFlam by APex, betaine hcl and sometimes Lectin Lock by

Vitamin research AND digestive enzyme with the meal, if eating out somewhere not

proven safe.

Fourth, if there is an exposure, charcoal, epsom salt bath, colonic and COP seem

to help, sometimes a lot. Repairvite by Apex or GI repair type combos with

glutamine, slip elm, aloe, etc to support GI lining and recovery.

Also, the folks at health now medical clinic in sunnyvale should be able to

help. Preeti Kulkarni, ND is there now and doing good work. They specialize in

gluten and food sensitvities. " The Gluten Effect " .

If there are others that have ideas or have figured out how to settle immune

response and heal on a deeper level, I would love to hear about that.

> I have a 37 yof patient that was diagnosed with Celiac several years ago. She

regularly eats out and typically has no problem. In addition she has started

taking Gluten digestive enzyme as preventative if exposed to small amounts of

gluten when eating out only. About 2 weeks ago she was traveling and believes

that she was unknowingly exposed to gluten on a daily basis. This resulted in 7

days of being in bed, digestive issues and severe fatigue. The digestive issues

are improved but still not feeling right. Also she is still having fatigue.

Today was the first day that she was able to get out. I am wondering if there is

anything that you have used with your patients that have been exposed to gluten

to help resolve the symptoms.

> She is currently taking unda # 1, 20, 258, Rosmarinus, Nat Phos, ZnCu,

probiotics, muco coccinum qo week, and the BTGs. I just recommended Nux Vomica

to see if that would resolve the symptoms but thus far no change (rx today).

Sorry,I forgot to add homeopathic Bryonia. We use Seroyal 200k, three pellets

in water stir, then one tsp q 2 hours, at first sign of an exposure to a food

intolerance or reaction.
