Guest guest
I am brewing for 7 days using 3 quarts filtered water, 7 green teabags, 3/4 cup organic dehydrated cane juice, and 1/4 cup grade B maple syrup. The brews are good, but the SCOBYs are very thin. I brew in my closet which has a temperature of only 66 degrees. Is that cooler temperature responsible for the thinness? Since I have learned that yeast is concentrated near the bottom of the brewing vessel, I did not want to use a heating pad because I did not want to end up over stimulating the yeast. I take my KT very seriously. Your responses are most appreciated. Lawrence
