Guest guest
Sorry my first email is blank. I pushed enter accidentally. Anyway, It wont matter which way he lays, the helmet applies even pressure all around the head.
Guest guest
- Welcome to the group. Our son got his STAR band 3 weeks ago, he got it at six months and has severe Plagio. Like you we were doing the repositioning but he always seem to roll back to his back after about an hour. Once we got the helmet he rolls on to his side and will sleep there the entire night. Very rarely will we find him on his back. He even enjoys his stomach which we do two to three time a day and often he will fall asleep in that position. Before helmet the tummy was a battle for even five minutes. He loves his helmet and has adjusted better than I could have imagined. It truly has been harder on us that it has been on him, but even were getting used to it now. We don't even have tears (from him our us when we go to take it off and put back on. We are going tomorrow for our checkup to see if their has been progress. I am so excited I can't wait to see if it's working. Good luck and keep us posted -Ian and twin Sacramento > I have a question about the helmet... > > If has to get the helmet...will he be able to lay on the back of his > head with it or will it be the same as now...trying to keep him off the back > of his head? Guest guest
: After was to get the helmet, he'd definitely be able to sleep on his back again. That's kind of the point of the helmet, to keep pressure off the flat area of the child's head. You wouldn't need to worry about keeping him off that area any longer while in the helmet. Guest guest
, He should be able to lay on the back of his head with the helmet on. If he has tort though, you migh still wish to keep rotating sleeping position for that reason. Marci (Mom to ) Oklahoma
