Margret I do believe you are correct. I think it's a water issue.

But also, Terry, you might want to see a chiropractor as well-- just

because if your muscles get dehydrated and start spasming, that can pull

your spine out of alignment, further exacerbating the problem.

Water! Clear cool water!

I have to agree with Marge. I have done many detoxes this past year

and all the reading I did said that you have to drink plenty of water

to flush out the toxins otherwise your body will store it in the

joints again. The water on the knee I had was Candida fungus. Also if

you dont drink enough fluids your toxin buildup could mimic cold

syptoms. So try drinking more water and see if it helps.

Best of luck, nne

move my arms. I quit drinking the tea and my shoulders got better

but my knee started swelling again ?? Now Im only drinking about

once a week. Still even at once a week my shoulders will hurt the

next day. What could cause this ?? Or is there something the tea

takes out of your body that I might need to supplementing.

Lets talk about feeling good......Have you ever ate a food or drink that you

haven't had in a while, and your body gives you a wonderful feeling all the

way to your toes when you give it what it needs.....kinda sorta the same

thing....When your immune system gets a jump start from whatever is in the

Kombucha, stands to reason you gonna feel better, but unlike caffeine, and other

stimulants....Kombucha doesn't cause you to crash...but rather, It keeps on

working long after you don't notice the good feeling anymore....Water and more

water is the answer.......Especially if you are drinking a lot of

kombucha......You don't drink water, then you are going to blame all manner of

aches and

pains on kombucha.....as well as your next cold.....The wife and I have been

there and done that, and finally DUH!! we are now drinking lots of water,

and enjoying our kombucha, and just sit back and let it do, what it has been

doing to folks for thousands of years....Ron and Vivian in leander tx

Your sleep and dreams will tell you Kombucha is at work....I promise

, I doubt very much if your problem is caffeine. I have a familial

tremor which is very sensitive to even low doses of caffeine. Large amounts

of KT do not bother me at all, I feel energized but no " jitters " and no

tremors. The very tiny amount of caffeine that remains in the KT does not

seem to bother me at all. My guess is there is something else going on with

you something other than caffeine. Years ago I had to eliminate all sources

of caffeine from my diet, this includes, coffee, tea, chocolate and excedrine

or any other medication with caffeine in it. Guarana and Ephedra have the

same effect as the caffeine so I have to avoid them like the plague. KT has

never bothered me in any negative way.

I agree with the others that your plain water intake is not sufficient for your

needs and the toxins are building up in your body. Alternatively you may be

having an allergic reaction to something in the KT. How are you with other

vinegars?

Thanks for your comments and sympathies nne. I did use green tea

for my brew because of its low caffeine content. I really don't

believe its anything to do with what kind of tea we use, though, but

is something coming from the scoby itself that makes added caffeine in

very high measures. I say this because the tension that I'm feeling

in my shoulder muscles wouldn't be this bad if I'd drunk 20 cups of

regular black tea straight off - so the caffeine content must be very

high in the Kombucha tea. Could it be possible, I wonder, if this is

why we are all so full of energy on KT - because of the high caffeine

content! It seems very likely.

About shoulders....this may sound like a strange idea, but I find if over

and over. How are your bowels? Stiff necks/shoulders are often attributed

to constipation. If you are detoxing and your bowels aren’t' moving, you can

get into trouble. Kombucha has lots of great bacteria and will help the

good bacteria overtake the “bad” bacteria in your guts, but ya gotta keep

things moving. Again…water, water, water.

The natural salt has plenty of iodine in the right proportion to the other

minerals. Iodine is part of what is stripped from salt. I have been using

the natural salt for a couple of years and have finally recovered from a

mineral imbalance I got a few years ago during a 2-week Native American

Ceremony in the high Arizona desert when I forgot to take any salt and

didn't get enough water. I think Dr Batmanghelidj is mistaken about the

source of his health problems. That's kinda like saying someone gets sick

from eating whole wheat flour instead of white flour, except that salt is,

like water and air, absolutely essential to human life.
