year old daughter has been taking synthroid ever since age 8. She has

NO energy. Her TSH and T4 levels are kept at anormal range and it

would seem that alone would help her energy. What am I missing. I was

also just diagnosed as hypo...so...

I will post anything hopeful I find and wish you all the best.

Hey Ya'll,

to find a way to get more energy and get the weight off and I am

having no luck. I am on Synthroid and have been for at least 10 years

now. I have found that no matter how much I work out or how much

Synthroid the dr gives me I still have no energy and the weight isn't

going anywhere. If someone could give me some help it would be

greatfully appreciated.

for the rest of us only armour with its combo of T3 and :T4 will work

about what Kimberli wrote:

This may come as a big surprise, but Synthroid IS bioidentical. A

non-bioidentical hormone would be something like what you find in soy,

chemicals that mimic estrogen in their effects, which fit the same

receptors, but aren't the same molecule at all. Synthroid is T4,

levothyroxine, the same identical molecule you find in Armour and in a

functioning thyroid.

So, what is the " normal " range you are citing for TSH and T4 in your 13

year old. That is one of the most controversial of definitions, but you

refer to it as if being in the " normal " range would insure you of

perfect health. It definitely won't, depending on which definition of

" normal " range you use.
