Guest guest
I had my tummy tuck with Dr K in Feb of this year. I can't say I was in much pain. I was only in the hospital overnight, and then sent home with two drains the following day. I returned in 10 days to have my drains removed and my incision checked. I went back three to four days later with an infection and needing a needle aspiration. The infection was from adhesive from tape that was used. The drainage wasn't all that bad, needle aspiration is more ewwww to look at that feel. My incision intersection opened up and didn't close for almost four months. That was my only real complication. I must admit though, my TT was worse for me then the WLS itself. I had 7.8 pounds of skin removed in the pannus, a mons lift and a hernia repair. Dr. K found the hernia the day before surgery. I am belly-button-less! But I must say.... Had I not had the extra pannus removed, and had I not lost 160 pounds, I would NOT be walking today at all. My MRI results came back yesterday. I'm being referred to Neurosurgery. One of my herniated discs are protruding onto my nerve roots in my spine which is causing all the grief, pain and depression I've experienced over the last 6 months. Hopefully this will be the last surgery I'll ever have to have!
