Tony's E-mail just reminded me of a newly learned bit of info that I had been meaning to share with the group. We have off and on had discussions on what is the best way to feed our pets. Many of us have kibble addicts (especially cats) that are suprisingly resistant to our attempts to introduce varied and whole or raw foods to improve their diets. Therefore I am always on the look out for ways to sneak wholesome foods into my cats and I stumbled on something that is working nicely.

Most of us have heard of Wysong pet foods. They have a product called Archetype Burgers, they are, to quote the package lable; "complete with non-heated meat, organs, bones, collagen, proteoglycans, pre-, and probiotics and enhanced with phytonutrient and antioxidant-rich fruits and vegetables. They are not heated in any stage of production and are alive with enzymes and probiotic cultures"

The freeze dried texture is very accepatable to kibble addicted cats and all of mine (all 9 of them) are really are enjoying this food. I crumble it up and leave it for them to snack on free choice in addition to their regular diet. (Felidae can and dry). Next time you are at the feed store look for Wysong Archetype Burgers and read the lable it is very interesting. But don't forget the introduction of any new food to your pets diet must be done very slowly to prevent gastric upsets.

My cats also eat crickets (I raise them to feed my lizards), kefir, fresh home grown wheatgrass and catnip.
