Guest guest
Hi , I currently have a 54 year old patient with a 5 year history of severe endometriosis. She takes Toradol and Ibuprofen two-thirds of the month because the pain is so severe. Laparoscopy showed extensive endometrial tissue and adhesions throughout her pelvis. She has been highly encouraged to have a hysterectomy since the onset. She had been seeing an ND and an acupuncturist for one year without much improvement. She came to me 2 months ago feeling desperate and depressed about her situation. I gave her Staphysagria 200C at her first appointment because she fit the picture well. Based on her labs and symptoms, her liver really seemed to need support. We started with Unda 2, 245, and 258. I was a bit concerned about jumping right into the reproductive system without laying groundwork with the liver and general emunctories first, but she was in so much pain that I wanted to try and shift things quickly. She also began to take Ribes Nigrum (she is extremely fatigued as well), flax seeds, DIM (she was already on from the previous ND), and cod liver oil. I did not want to overwhelm her with a treatment plan as she is already feeling VERY overwhelmed with life and her pain. At her first visit we did 15 minutes of core synchronism with her uterus and ovaries as she was in severe pain, which responded quickly and nearly stopped the pain. Two weeks later she came in for a 1 hour core synchronism appointment. There was no movement of her posterior uterus and I was later told that on laparoscopy it was found that she had extensive adhesions from her posterior uterus to her sacrum. She gets a lot of low back pain. I will add in thiosyanum in the near future, but does anyone have another way of addressing these hard to get to adhesions? Two days after her core appointment she called me and said that things feel like they are shifting for the first time in 5 years. She wasn't sure if she was making it up or not... I have seen her for one more follow up appointment at the 5 week mark where we added in seed cycling, folliculinum, luteinum, Undas (can't remember which ones but more focused on liver and general drainage), castor oil packs, cool/hot water to the pelvis, and started the discussion about eating anti-inflammatory foods. She reported not needing pain killers daily for the first time, and now is able to be more active without fear of being in disabling pain. She'll come back next week for her third visit.
