Guest guest
ok, just to add-on to my last message (which i hope went through--i didn't see it posted on the site yet)... i just had a little taste of my tea (just moved the baby over slightly to get a spoon in) and it is still fairly sweet and not fizzy at all. so i take it that it's going to need a lot more time? my problem is that in three days i'm leaving this house and flying back to school in FL. should i try to transport the brewing tea in my suitcase? a silly thought, i know, but i'd hate to lose my cultures and have to start over. thanks again, becca
Guest guest
you might be better off mailing them to yourself rather than dealing with airport security over them. > > ok, just to add-on to my last message (which i hope went through--i > didn't see it posted on the site yet)... > i just had a little taste of my tea (just moved the baby over slightly > to get a spoon in) and it is still fairly sweet and not fizzy at all. > so i take it that it's going to need a lot more time? my problem is > that in three days i'm leaving this house and flying back to school in > FL. should i try to transport the brewing tea in my suitcase? a silly > thought, i know, but i'd hate to lose my cultures and have to start > over. > thanks again, > becca > > > >
Guest guest
Hi Becca, in three days your brew might be ready. As far as storing it in the fridge, if you will not be gone over two weeks, you can just leave it on the counter with some fresh tea added to feed it while you are gone. The SCOBY that is stored in the fridge is fine but takes much longer on the average to form a good baby and brew. Hope this helps, Myrna > > ok, just to add-on to my last message (which i hope went through--i > didn't see it posted on the site yet)... > i just had a little taste of my tea (just moved the baby over slightly > to get a spoon in) and it is still fairly sweet and not fizzy at all. > so i take it that it's going to need a lot more time? my problem is > that in three days i'm leaving this house and flying back to school in > FL. should i try to transport the brewing tea in my suitcase? a silly > thought, i know, but i'd hate to lose my cultures and have to start > over. > thanks again, > becca >
