PAWPAW Asimina triloba Annonaceae Common Name:Pawpaw, Paw Paw, Papaw, Poor Man's Banana, Hoosier Banana, etc. (In Australia the tropical papaya, Carica papaya, is also known as Pawpaw). ....... So don't go out and pick paw-paw leaves in your continental American back yard! I don't know that they are harmful, but they are not the medicinal variety of paw-paw leaf, which is the tropical papaya! Just FYI....
