Guest guest
Hi Drainers, I have a 33 yo female with whom I have been working for the last 3 months. Her main IBS sx is knife-like pain in her abdomen- unpredictable, of varied duration with unknown triggers. She is very diligent with her tx plan but given how early it is in our work together she has not had any change in her IBS sx's. She has used a marijuana tincture in the past to manage pain, which is not my preference and also not her first choice, but she feels it is all she has right now. What have you had success with as far as short term mgmt of GI pain while you do the work to unpeel the onion, so to speak? Also, she meditates, exercises regularly, sees an acupuncturist, eats well and follows her BTG's. Currently she is on #3, 46, 219, ribes, and ficus. Thank you in advance!Jeannie Dr. Jeannie Achuff, NDSage Clinic, BCOriginsofHealthNaturalMedicine.com
Guest guest
Have you tried hot vinegar packs for her? Those work very well for acute pain, but you must continue work-up. They are so effective, I would not use them unless you are sure she will continue looking for the cause. Karon-, ND Portland, OR
