I have some friends who are interested in trying > to make it, but seem to think a gallon container would be too much. > LOL And it might be, but not for long! k Hi Kathy, My basic recipe is based on a litre/quart quantity and runs as follows: 1 lire/quart of water, 100 grams sugar (which is about 1/2 cup minus a tablespoon ;-) 1 dessertspoon of open-leaved tea or 1-2 teabags of whatever tea you fancy of proper tea camellia sinensis. Some people use less tea, but I like it quite strong and so do my scobys ;-) Happy brewing!
