I thought the ETOH was from beets, but I could be wrong.  Wouldn't distillation remove gluten and other macromolecules anyway?

Hello,What is your opinion on using Phytogens with people with gluten sensitivities? I was informed that Phytogens have a rye based alcohol in them and that it's better to use Gemmotherapy with gluten sensitive patients. I would prefer to use the Phytogens since they are more concentrated and have combo formulas, but don't want to run the risk of exacerbating symptoms.

Thank you! Heiger, ND14203 Ambaum Blvd. SWBurien, WA 98166

There is a difference between gluten sensitivity and gluten intolerancequestion is whether a gluten sensitive pt can handle small amounts of gluten as would be in remediesUnfortunately, most allopaths and pts do not know thisWe have to be careful we do not let pt fears and information/knowledge of gluten in rye mixtures go to a fearbased place.Doing IgG food sensitivity testing (Genova, Metamatrix) can help see if so. I have asked Seroyal on numerous occasions about the alcohol and have always

been told it is from beets. Did you get the info about grain alcohol directly

from Seroyal?

Yes. I called Seroyal and they said that the Phytogens are made with rye

alcohol, but the Gemmos, and I believe the UNDAs too, are made from beets. They

suggested I use the Gemmos instead of the Phytogens.

FYI - here is an analysis of gluten in phytogens as a response from Seroyal.

Hi Dick,

According to Regs, gluten result under 20ppm is considered

gluten free. Attached test result is under 5ppm.

Thanks.
