benefits of kombucha

Sandy I generally use Reverse Osmosis. I also have counter top Water

Distiller.

Filtering is fine with the exception of changing the filters. A

clogged filter will actually pose a greater health risk. Many folks

have told me they use water straight from their wells and never had

any problems. When I was growing up we only used tap water. Now I

really can taste and feel the difference. Boiling does not sterilize

water, but when there is nothing else it is the only thing to do and

should be done in questionable circumstances. For kombucha juts be

sure to re-oxygenate the water by stirring or whisking. Any tea is

acceptable to kombucha. The first choice IMO, should be which one do

you prefer. For differences in the tea per kombucha brewing see my

web site Organic and Premium Teas http://tinyurl.com/ye7wkq

> Ed, what type of sugar do you use? And your water source? I have

well water so I would have to filter mine if I did not boil it. I am

thinking of filtering it again anyway until I can take a sample to

have tested for carcinogens. What type of tea? I normally use green

tea as the organic is readily available here.

We just got a BJ's store not far from where I live and my husband

and I are going today for my birthday so I am going to stock up if

they have things and I can use in my brews.

Hi Myrna,

I never liked that staples either and now some companies are getting

smarter and selling the cone or triangle bags so they can breath.

A few years back threre was quite a heavy debate on this very

Hi Rae,

Sounds like my caribou tea bags! Just may want to use organic string

not bleached.

Or tear it open, which I have done.
