Guest guest Posted March 28, 2012 Report Share Posted March 28, 2012 I am wondering if you all have thoughts/opinions/experience with this new procedure/device. It is a coil that is inserted in a woman's fallopian tubes that eventually scars over and causes blockage to prevent pregnancy. It is left in permanently. I wonder about long term risks, particularly in light of the fact that it's only been on the market for 5 years. I am leaning toward advising my patient to stick with something that has a longer track record (like a non-hormonal IUD) but told her I would put the question out to you all.
