Guest guest
Hi Group, I am looking for a drainage perspective on working with Hep C. I have a 68 yo male who has been positive for 9 yrs and remains in stage 1-2 according to his most recent bx in the fall of 2011. He has a great lifestyle- active, lots of fresh fruits and veggies, healthy marriage/ social life, great SEAMMS. The patient is getting pressure from his MD to try the triad of meds now available to him here in BC (interferon, ribavirin and bocepivir; the bocepivir has just been approved for use here and the MD's are all excited about it). Due to his age he will only qualify to begin the drug therapy for a few more months so the patient feels it is "now or never". That said, he doesn't like the idea of the meds and is looking to be proactive in other ways. As of today I just started him on a super basic tx plan including probiotics, skin brushing, and COP's. I have requested all of his labs and reports and we will follow up in a few weeks. Also of question for me is the use of milk thistle. I have heard several takes on its use in Hep C. Currently he is taking it. What do people know/think about this? Please share with me your wisdom and experience! Thanks so much,Dr. Jeannie Achuff, NDSage Clinic, BCOriginsofHealthNaturalMedicine.com
