Hi Kathleen

How is her hemoglobin? Anything unusual in her CBC?

Has she had an occult stool test done?

How long has she been off gluten? Has she been tested for celiac disease?

Any chance she is an extreme athlete?

Kathleen, Certainly do a lot of work on her gut. She is obviously taking up the iron via IV but something subtle is happening at the gut level. Think about leaky gut and perhaps after a period of time off of gluten she will show signs of improvement. How about other minerals- is she absorbing anything? Any issues with her copper and zinc levels/ intake? On a mental/ emotional level I would consider whether she values "nourishing" herself. Does she take care of herself? Does she value her own time/ contributions to friends/ family/ etc? Is there anything anywhere in there that is energetically preventing her from taking what she needs? Think boundaries... As a side note, beware that some people are not ready to hear such suggestions, so

you may need to ask her questions over the long term to position her such that she realizes in her own way what the energetics are surrounding her malabsorption. Also, what was going on during her childhood in the years of GI development? Flower essences would be helpful if you think this might be a piece of the puzzle. Hope that helps. Hi All- I have a 37 yo female who has had iron issues for many years. She was severely anemic with a ferritin of 4 about 6 years ago for no real 'reason'- no bleeding issues, eats some meat, no digestive issues that stand out. Taking oral iron helped a bit but she got IV iron for a while to get her stores back up. She was at a ferritin level of 83, then switched back just to oral iron. Since then, her ferritin continues to drop slowly- even if she take oral iron supplements. Floradix doesn't work, so she has to take the constipating big pills.

Energy is 4-5/10. She looks pale. Tends to anxiety and over mentation. I have only begun working with her but thought I would see if others might have ideas of why her body is using iron up so quickly. She is taking ferrum phos cell salt, UNDA and off of gluten.
