Guest guest
During our period of research, we made the following observation: " We have also noted the formation of a polysaccharide colony without the production of the above-mentioned acids (id: Kombucha components). Conversely, we have never observed the production of the acids without formation of the polysaccharide colony. " Hope that helps. Mike Roussin no baby what are the reasons one would not get a baby from a brew i am in a winter season right now could that be the reason and is it ok
Guest guest
>what are the reasons one would not get a baby from a brew i am in a >winter season right now could that be the reason and is it ok In winter if your brewing environment is low-temperature (low to mid 60s F), your SCOBYs will be much thinner and brews may take a lot longer. Sometimes the new SCOBY is so thin that it's hard to tell it's there... often it melds to the older SCOBY and it can seem like nothing developed. However, if your brew fermented and tastes pretty much like your previous brews, probably a new SCOBY formed, very thin, attached to the old one. I wouldn't worry. --V ~~~ There is no way to peace; peace is the way ~~~~ --A.J. Muste
Guest guest
Hello, I just checked on my tea that has been brewing for about 10 days and there is no sign of a baby. Has this ever happened to anybody else. Can I still drink the tea? Will it still have the same benefits? Thank you, __________________________________________________
Guest guest
Hello, I have been brewing for about six months now, and I didn't get a baby once, maybe twice. I don't know if this is typical. Also, when I was less experienced, I thought my mother was not making babies but then I discovered that the baby was attached to the mother and I had missed it. I just didn't know what to look for, I guess. As far as the benefits go, I'm not certain. I know the tea still tasted great. Guest guest
Hi Bruce and EveryOne, One way to tell if your Kombucha is making a new Kombucha Colony is to weigh the old one down with a glass or saucer, - a clean weight that will keep it on the bottom of the fermentation jar....if a new film, even a clear or thin one, forms on top of the liquid during the fermentation period that is the new " baby " or Kombucha Colony. It will not form a new colony if the fermentation vessel is moved. If there is no film on top of the liquid after a week or so then no Kombucha Colony is being formed. They always form on top of the liquid no matter where the original Colony is in the jar. Peace, Love and Harmony, Bev KOMBUCHA MANNA DROPS: Safe, Convenient, Effective and Easy to use.
