Added Vinegar. Suddenly the very thin inactive scoby got going

Dear Bridget,

That's just great. Are you brewing all three strains yet?

Was that distilled white vinegar you added?

I nearly always use it for starter because we drink up all the FERMENT. O. Woe.

I want to say BREW.

This stubborn old lady may just do that anyway and the List can just consider

the shaky source.

Please do. Regardless of " proper " terminology for any specific phase of

the brewing process, no homebrewer of beer would call the finished product

a " ferment " ... they call it a " brew " .
