Guest guest
You might try using a scoby on your face. I do it twice a day (keep it in a little Pyrex bowl with some KT on the bathroom counter) and I have very little trouble with breakouts anymore. I don't use anything else on my face, except the Mineral Veil powder from Bare Escentuals. I have always had oily skin and am 42 years old. It may be my imagination, but I also think that my skin looks better overall and the lines at the corners of my eyes are less noticeable. ~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~*~ Canfield Christian liberty should never be exercised at the expense of a Christian testimony. ~ Chappell " Be not deceived, God is not mocked; for whatsoever a man soweth, that shall he also reap. Guest guest
Watch out for high glycemic index foods, they cause inflammation which causes acne. If you just quit the peroxide it may be your skin healing. Don't put anything on your skin, wash it maybe once a week. If it's dry some aloe vera(or, better yet, aloe vera witch hazel that they sell at whole foods here) daily or twice daily is fine. Anything else will cause havoc. Lots of protein, no red meat, it causes acne too. Chicken or Salmon should be fine. (I'm vegetarian, and my skin is sooo clear everyone asks me what I use). You can do makeup on your face if it's light or whatever. Read one of Dr Perricone's book, either The Wrinkle Cure or the Acne Cure, they're the same book with the words switched out mostly. The Perricone Prescription is the best though. Light exercise is good. If you have the $$$ and a place nearby, hot yoga clears out your pores like you wouldn't believe, a month of regular hot yoga and you're skin will look so good(I need to go again, d'oh). Otherwise a steam room or sauna for 20 or 30 mins a day is good, you want to sweat, on your face, to push the stuff out. Peroxide burns off the first few layers and leaves it really sensitive. Once it's cleared up go ahead for the KT or K-Vin or something a little bit, but I'd try nothing other than aloe vera or aloe vera/witch hazel combo as a moisturizer. Once I realized what you eat really does affect how your face looks, my acne cleared up at 15. Not that I went veg then, but I cut out beef. I went from a dermatologist to naturally clearing up. Your body can only work with what you give it. Really watch out for high GI foods. Here's a list, lots more on the net and in some books. http://www.lowglycemicdiet.com/gifoodlist.html Good luck! --ph > > Hi group, i've written before about my acne a few months back. > Basically, > as i've been eating more and more organic whole foods suited for my body > type, i've been getting more zits. part of this may be that i have stopped > using proactive with active ingredient benzoyl peroxide. that stuff worked > well! but it's a chemcial, so i stopped. now i just rinse my face wtih > rose > water and a use water plus a few drops of raw apple cider vinegar as a > toner > in the night, and some aloe vera gel in the day. a few months back, when i > first had my KT, that's when i got the acne (tiny little zits), so i > stopped > the KT. the acne didnt' totally go away but did lessen somewhat. but then > the acne came back worse when i stopped my medicine for ulcerative > colitis. > i had been taking this medicine for about 6 years (asacol, 400 mg). and > for > a good portion of those years i took about 6 pills a day. now i hardly > ever > eat anything processed, eat everything fresh, balanced for my body type, > organic, and drink tons of water. but the acne keeps coming..and in > addition, these dead skin come up too which i can just rub and come > off. it's quite weird. my face is very active right now. > > i realize my body may be rejecting toxins, but recently i talked to an > acupuncturist who told me that the skin is not the priimary mode of > eliminating toxins from the body, but rather, toxins leave through skin > only > when the liver and kidneys are clogged. when i heard this, i thought about > KT, which i had tried for only a month or so a few months back. Guest guest
Have you tried egg yolk? The vitamin A in the yolk is good for you skin ~ very similar to the Retinols, but no chemicals. It just feels strange to have on your skin. I also have had good results with putting Vitamin E oil on my skin. This has helped keep my break out down. Are you taking Milk Thistle to clean your liver? SARAH Vandana Purohit wrote: Hi group, i've written before about my acne a few months back. Guest guest
All great answers, and KT helps my face, too. It's the opposite of yours, very dry. It's a balancer. Another suggestion that I found works well for acne, is plain yogurt with a bit of lemon juice mixed in. I think the ratio is 1/2 cup yogurt, 1/2 tsp lemon juice. Mix in, let sit for 30 minutes, then apply as a face mask. Let dry on face (about 15-20 mins) then rinse off. I had a client who used this, along with my Beauty Oil for Oily Skin, and within 2 months her red, acne filled face was a normal pink, and she had 3 zits left. And they weren't acne, just what I call normal pimples. I'm not sure if it was the yogurt/lemon or my oil, or a combination of the two, but it worked. Take all of our recommendations, and do one at a time. Just use your instincts as to which one to try. Any of them will probably work. Good luck! a

Guest guest
> as i eat plenty of dark greens (including bitters), > --------------------------------------------------------------- Speaking of bitter greens, many many years ago I had a charming Jewish boyfriend who told me that even today, the use of the 7 bitter herbs would be good for our health. Can't right now remember what they were (a quick Internet check didn't help any) but later, my new husband, being a nurseryman, looked them up. He declared that together they were some of the most powerful nutrition filled plants that could be put together. Wish I could remember what they were, I think that thistles were in there. My hillbilly Grandma used to cook the stinging nestle and the hot water killed the stickers on it and a little butter and salt made them good to eat. Anybody have any ideas of what they were? Guest guest
I find that when I get a breakout, I just take a cotton ball and dip it into the ktea (stronger the better) and wipe it right onto my breakout. I have never had another medicine make such a difference overnight. Hope this helps. I find that I am detoxing quite a bit since upping my intake of Ktea.
