Guest guest
Hi! I've been decorating my son's band with stickers, but can't get the sticky crud off after removing the stickers. Any ideas? I've tried alcohol and it does nothing. I know that WD-40 removes this type of stuff great, but I don't want to use it on the band since it's plastic and may absorb the petroleum in the WD-40. Thanks for your help! Guest guest
Fingernail polish remover works (but is pretty stinky). But, if you rub baby oil (peanut butter works too on the sticky stuff, it should roll off pretty easy. Good luck! Guest guest
- I've heard Avon's Skin So Soft oil works really good - never tried it though...... Also heard it makes the band smell good, but only use it on the outside. I don't even know how to get ahold of Avon these days, but it must still be out there?? and Ethan ----- Original Message ----- From: " " <murphydog@...> <Plagiocephalyegroups> Sent: Tuesday, September 12, 2000 8:54 PM Subject: How do you get rid of sticker crud? > > Hi! Guest guest
We have a helmet and not a band, so I'm not sure what material the band is made of. At any rate, in general, peanut butter is a great " tool " for getting sticky stuff off all kinds of hard surfaces. Guest guest
Peanut oil works well and rubbing alcohol can get stickies off with a bit of elbow grease. (It evaporates quickly, but the helmet would have to be off the kiddo for the rubbing...) ---------- From: Amy Sims <amy@...> " 'Plagiocephalyegroups' " <Plagiocephalyegroups> Subject: RE: How do you get rid of sticker crud? Guest guest
If you use fingernail polish, keep away from the kind with acetone. That's awful stuff (biochemically speaking) for anyone, but especially infants and pregnant women. ---------- >From: " L.
