Hi Sandy,

Thank you for your reply - I have thought along these lines, that there

might be smething in the house causing problems. We have been here about 8

years,

and none of us seem to thrive here; Harry was a bit better when we were away

for a week last summer. Can I ask if you know how they tested for spores?

Many thanks and best wishes,

-- the fact that Harry improved away from the house is a critical sign

in diagnostics. I think it may be your house, and it's really worth

checking into. Here are some links I just researched:

USA EPA site: http://www.epa.gov/mold/

Private site with tons of information, lots of e-books on sale, including

home-remedy recipes (have to buy the book to get info), and also a list of

symptoms of mold-related ill-health. kinda scary http://www.moldinspector.com/

This site also states categorically that chlorine bleach does not kill mold.

State of Minnesota site which states that testing for mold may mask

problems because the mold may be difficult to detect by testing.

http://www.health.state.mn.us/divs/eh/indoorair/mold/moldtest.html

Suggested Google searches (just the words, no quote marks or brackets)

mold testing environment home

mold nontoxic remediation

mold remediation [insert your country and possibly your town]

hope this helps,

Also, one other thing, various sites contradict each other so it would be

really important to carefully research solutions. For example, that one

site says chlorine bleach absolutely does not work, and also says that

Ozone treatment doesn't work (because it can only kill what it can touch),

but there are lots of ppl out there offering ozone treatment.

my best,

> Hi Sandy,

I really can't remember that they could actually test for them and

come up with anything substantial because mold spores are really

everywhere. I think what he said was that the Dr. gave him a medicine

that would help his symptoms if indeed it was mold. This was years ago

and my mind is not quite what it used to be so I may not be getting

any of this right. He eventually moved (they had only been renting

that house anyway) but the last time I saw him he was fine and said

that he has had no problems since moving. Maybe you can do some

searching about mold spores in the house (his house had a basement and

that is where he expected they were mostly coming from because it

would get weepy during prolonged rains) but don't buy any

expensive " testing " equipment until you have a reasonable assurance

that this could indeed be your childs problem. Ask your doctor.

Healthy regards,

Sandy

Hi and Everyone,

Every time I read your posts about your son I think of Dr. Jefferies:

" The Safe Uses of Cortisol " .

You can find out much more about this at his website:

Highly recommended!
