Guest guest
Hello Colleagues, I haven't met with her yet, but I spoke with a 47 yo woman with 2 existing children, and history of fertility until age 44 (not sure whole story yet - perhaps a terminated pregnancy?). At age 45 conceived, but miscarried, and hasn't been able to conceive since. I've certainly let her know there are no guarantees and that conception at her age is uncommon. I've also mentioned that there may be risks to her and the fetus. I obviously need a complete history, but am just wondering if any of you have had particular success in supporting conception after 40 yoa? I'm curious about rates of conception with or without naturopathic/TCM support. Any information or advice you might have would be appreciated. -- Yours in health, Baer, RHN, ND Doctor of Naturopathic Medicine Registered Holistic Nutrtitionist Clinic Director, Body of Knowledge Healing Arts Passionate Advocate of Real Food for Healthy People & a Healthy Planet www.bokhealingarts.com It is only with the HEART that one can see rightly; what is essential, is invisible to the eye. ~ Antoine de Saint-Exupery This electronic message transmission contains information from the Company that may be proprietary, confidential and/or privileged. Guest guest
,Just as you mentioned, the further along the woman is the lower the success rate. I have worked and still do with women in their earlier 40's, but not late 40's. You have to think about the body's physiology, and the amount of Kidney energy (Chinese med.) that it requires at any age, let alone for someone at 47. Until you meet with her it is difficult to hypothesize, you will get a much better sense after you have a visit together. You will have a better idea of what she is looking for and needs, and what you have to offer. Igor N.
