Guest guest
I'm working with a 57 y/o 6'3 " 315 lb male who has had night sweats (soaking the sheets) x 20+ years. He has had no weight loss, No LA, Negative PPD, TSH WNL, pre-diabetes x several years, + sleep apnea and heart flutters with a complete cardiovascular work-up WNL. He has not spent time on the east coast. The night sweats seem to be consistent over the year - no change in the winter when nights are cooler. He owns and operated a logging company, which have required years of long hours of physical work and limited sleep during summer months. His CBC shows slight elevation in RBCs (5.84) and slightly low RDW (10.7). Of note, per his PCP he began simvastatin about a month prior to the labs (for not particularly abnormal cholesterol....). I'm looking for some guidance or brainstorming on what could possibly be causing these chronic bed soaking night sweats for so long. hormones? chronic viral infection? Many Thanks Deborah Nixdorf, ND, LAc Corvallis Natural Medicine, Inc Corvallis, OR drnixdorf@...
