I hope she contacts me soon.* Yikes.. I did not lose my baby, in fact, we are doing a c-section on 1/7. :-) It is time to meet Connor! Tracey, I have not gotten an email and I checked all my accounts.. Been on maternity leave since 12/13 and have been busy as a bee trying to make sure all is ready. We were supposed to have him on 12/27, but an amnio showed his lungs were not quite developed yet so we had to wait. I must say that this has been an uneventful, if painful pregnancy. The mesh from the HR has been a challenge as it does not stretch. Oh well, almost done and I am ready! I should post some pix of before, 6 months and 9 months to show you all how small I have remained due to the mesh. For the first 8 months, I only gained 3 pounds. For the last month, I just let loose, so I have gained a total of 13-18 pounds depending on how much water I am retaining. It has been a challenge letting myself gain weight when we have been programmed that gaining weight is a no-no. keeps telling me that it is not fat, but baby. Still, it is a big mental deal to me. As for the miscarriage, that was 3 months after the DS surgery, more than 3 years ago; which was a blessing in disguise. As much as I have worried through this pregnancy and everything has come back just fine, I cannot imagine the pain and grief I would have gone through had nature not taken it's course with that pregnancy. I remember so vividly Dee and Dr. K. telling me that I needed an abortion and that is just not something I could have ever done. Thankfully, God was merciful. Dern glad that I happened to check this board tonight. Going to be a quiet NYE and I wish you all a very happy new year!! Best, Liz P. Guest guest
Hi Liz! I'm so glad to hear from you! Sorry!!! I didn't mean to put up a red flag there! I was just concerned that I hadn't heard from you. I put your yahoo address in my address book so next time you should get my e-mail. I'm so glad you were checking the group tonight! I never thought about the mesh not stretching during pregnancy. Eek! Don't worry, your DH is right. The fat is only from the baby. You really haven't gained much at all from what you said. I hope you had a fabulous New Year's! Ours was quiet but very nice. Please do post pictures if you get the chance. And I'd love to come visit you when you're up to it so I can meet Conner! (Love that name!) Hugs! Tracey How exciting that in just 5 days you'll be a mommy!!! --- In DS_Friends_Keshishian , " of_inanna " > > Yikes..
