Guest guest
Hello All, My mother-in-law (63 yo) has opted to receive chemo following the removal of clear cell carcinoma of the endometrium and a sarcoma of the colon. Her MDs have given her a pharmaceutical (I don't know the name but it sounds like a strong diuretic) to help remove the remains of the first session of chemo from her body before her second treatment. I'd like to use drainage but just wanted more opinions as to others work with this. I understand that the basic drainage can sometimes potentiate the action of some drugs by speeding up their conversion in the liver, however, since chemo was administered IV I assume the liver is just detoxifying it at this stage. I'm also in the middle of a big move between cities and most of my reference material is still packed in boxes, hence the greater need for your advice. Thanks for your help!
