Guest guest
I have just got another kombucha book by Courtenay courtesy of ebay simply called kombucha tea with over 65 recipes.. this basically keeps with the blueprint of 5-6 green tea bags for fast fermentation but with an additional 4 tea bags (usually) of medicinal herbal teas... I have used rose hip for a more fruity flavour and added 1 elderflower to see what happens as it is one of the ingredients for " kombucha champagne " .. I would recommend the book highly I like Harald Tietze but his making the brew more interesting could be more in depth not to mention he states his measurements for combining green and herbal teas in teaspoon measurements

Yes, Lee, I too do experiment with proper tea and herbal tea mixtures. Recently I tried green tea and lemongrass and Earl Grey tea (black) in more or less equl measures. Despite the antibacterial lemon oil this tea has turned out really wonderful and surprised me. http://www.naturedirect2u.com/Essential%20oils/lemongrass.htm Another tea I have recently tried for Kombucha is Genmaicha, a green tea with toasted rice grains. This has turned out to be utterly addicitve to me ;-) YUM!!! What may be irresistable to me, however, may be utterly repulsive to someone else. Yes, I have tried rosehip and various variations on elderflower and elderberry, all very nice! The room for eperimentation is a VERY LARGE room ;-) Keep having fun and enjoy! Guest guest
Good Morning A book on Kombucha I didn't know existed. I have 11 Books and thought that was all there was. I've used most major book search engines and can not find any reference to this book and very few on the author. What a find! I would very much like to get a copy. If you happen to come across another copy please let me know. I gather from you email address your located in the UK. One thing you didn't mention in the blue print was the recommended amount of sugar. I assume the blueprint is for a liter of sweet tea. Guest guest
Hi Margret I bet you have had some interesting mixes with kombucha I was meaning to ask you about paw paw leaves and using this with kombucha.. in that book it is listed at the front out of sequence because it is the authors favourite and apparently gives you a " euphoric feeling of wellbeing " that sounds good to me! I have just ordered 125g from sulishealth that is supposed to be a months supply I dont know if I have any flowers to add though lol how much of the leaf tea would you put into the brew? Could you mix herbs with this and how? kombucha me ) > > > I have just got another kombucha book by Courtenay courtesy of > > ebay simply called kombucha tea with over 65 recipes.. this basically > > keeps with the blueprint of 5-6 green tea bags for fast fermentation > > but with an additional 4 tea bags (usually) of medicinal herbal > > teas...
