Guest guest
I am currently just buying ours at the co-op and it's getting soooo expensive and I go through the little thing way too quickly. I'm wondering if someone can direct me to a good place to buy good coconut oil in bigger (but not ridiculous) quantities and save a little money. Thank you! Guest guest
Why not order a " ridiculous " amount? I don't mess around; the cheapest way I've found is to order the 5 gallon pails through Wilderness. It's very stable and has a long shelf life. Guest guest
The general rule-of-thumb is a 3-year shelf life. A lot depends on how you store it. Mine has been in cool storage - either the garage, in winter, or in the unheated basement.I have some 4-year-old, unopened, which was still good, but I found it went " bad " very quickly once opened. Still, that's a great shelf life, so I never hesitate to order in quantity if I can save money, and have that kind of shelf-life.
