Guest guest
Hi Sandy You probably know this but Healthy House sell a chlorine filter that goes on the bath. Lucas had terrible eczema and we tried literally everything to find out what was making it worse. Finally we installed the chlorine filter, his eczema was completely gone within a couple of days and his skin has remained clear ever since. We also use a super duper filter on the mains supply, can't remember the name of it but recommended it (maybe Pozzani?) I also used a cream which I bought from Healthy House called Purepotions Skin Salvation Salve which doesn't have anything nasty in it and I still use it ocassionally on the boys and myself http://www.healthy-house.co.uk/products/purepotions_skin_salvation_range.php Also thanks for getting in touch with Louise, I have heard from her but only just got back from holiday yesterday so haven't made contact yet. We have two leads in New Jersey now so it looks hopeful! Good luck with Eddie! We've tried metabolics own and biokult and he can't tolerate biocare. We just ordered EM-X (the effective micro-organism drink) but they have changed the recipe and he can't toleratae that either.Fortunatley he is fine with goat yog, kefir, kombucha and sauerkraut. ... At least we think he is OK with these - we're currently battling some bad skin which we think was mainly triggered by a huge amount of chlorine in the water supply. Quite distressing at times - Eddie's skin is so very dry and we have to trim bits off that are peeling back on his fingers. Doesn't help that he is no longer tolerating neem and mag sulphate creams (!) So we are rotating and rotating to pin down what he has become allergic to now. We have tried removing all vits and even enzymes and still his skin is bad. (was great though that he coped well for 3 days! - we didn't think he could - but he's still better with supps)Any ideas for a different probiotic would be really great. Or ideas about what dries skin beside chlorine (or how long it takes to get over chlorine?)Thanks, sandy Win £1000 shopping sprees with BigSnapSearch.com Search now

Guest guest
Sandy, is Eddie's skin very dry in certain areas, or everwhere. The stuff on the hands sounds like me when I have sackie flare (as hand, foot and mouth virus). Guest guest
Hi , Thanks so much! I've already ordered the salve (it does look promising) Tim fitted the Potsami water filter on Sunday (still quite a bit of tidying up to do - great entertainment for Eddie mind - Tim now has a full-time helper with DIY :-)!) - we're hopeful it will help a lot. The chlorine definitely didn't suit Eddie. His skin was so dry after a bath where normally it would be improved if it were dry to start. The frustrating thing was that I couldn't even take eddie to my parents 3 miles away because their water was the same. My mum's skin has been very dry too. So fingers- crossed it will help. Hope all goes well with the purchase! Best wishes, Sandyx
Guest guest
Thanks Mandi - I actually tried olive oil for the first time in his last bath - I'll try coconut oil next. Eddie is OK with coconut oil now (we think) - I've been rubbing it into his hands. Coconut and olive oil are all we have been putting on - all his other regular creams make it worse. (He was great with mag sulphate and neem cream up until recently) Mandi - meant to reply to your LDM post - this is so amazing! Isn't it fab (but scary!!) stuff Sandyxx
Guest guest
Hi Jacqui, Thanks. I'm going to see if Tim can take a picture (always hard to get a picture of a rash) The worst is the top of his hands between the thumb and index fingers - but centred a bit more on the top of the hand than between the fingers. This is always where his rashes are worst. But there's nothing on his palms or feet or in his mouth. His rashing (and in typical order of spread) is around wrist, lower back then moves up his back, top surface of thighs. back of lower legs then upper back. Things are very bad when they get to his arms. Rarely does he have much on his face - but he has had passing blotchiness recently on his cheeks - and again we just can't pin it down to anything he is eating or making contact with. Awhile back it was the RNAs that were the problem. He's also had this with the AirOxy/O2 - strange that these seem such benign things. ?? Guest guest
Well with it on his back and legs the sackie sounds less likely?? Though just in case it's helpful for future reference I don't necessarily get it on my feet, hands and mouth at the same time. Infact as time's gone on it's often just one area that's noticable affected. With the AirOxy/O2 have you thought about reactive oxygen species, free radicals etc. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Reactive_oxygen_species? I did't suit O2 or RNAs. I guess with RNAs we don't know much about what's in them do we? I know many Yasko followers swear by them but even the supportive ones seem to stress rather support my system. (That's just so you know Eddie's not alone :-) Jacqui x > > Hi Jacqui, > > Thanks. Guest guest
Just to follow up and say thanks again for all your suggestions. Eddie's skin is hugely better - such a relief :-)! It was oxypowder that he needed!! We hadn't realised he was backed up because his belly wasn't very bloated. But after losing quite a bit of black poo his skin hugely improved. It really caught us out. Eddie hasn't had constipation for a long time. It's probably not a coincidence that there was a big amount of chlorine in our water supply at the time. (We also rotated out LDM which may have been helping??) Best wishes, Sandy
