Pat, an experience well told, and how similar to my own!! ;-) In other words: Kombucha re-educates your tastebuds to healthier mode, and therein lies part of its weight-loosing effect. Mhhhh, I LOVE Kombucha! Guest guest
rubbisch its in youre head Complaint About Kombucha BK (before Kombucha) I could enjoy the delicate tastes of all those lovely baked goods that are suchaa gourmet delicacy. Since I am hostess for my woman's club in a few days, I bought 3 boxes of extra fancy cookies. And, like always, I took a handful of them and sat with my book and crunched away. I swear, that merely having that Kombucha in the same house with these expensive cookies have ruined them. They don't taste good any more, they are far too sweet..that's what happened, the Ktea has spread spores all over the house and ruined those cookies. It's all the Kombucha's fault, and I'm gonna tell it so. As soon as I drink my evening tea. Darn!!! Now I'll have to let my friends take the rest of those lovely cookies home. I sure won't eat them. They don't taste good any more. Pat in CA

Guest guest
I find it's a toss up for me. After using fresh organic olive oil raw, the other stuff tasted like it had gone bad. Snickers bars...some things never change. ''Lance''
Guest guest
Love your 'tongue in cheek' style Pat!! I too have found the more I eat in a healthful manner the more I dislike those things I " loved " before. Once you bake everything fresh and use real butter, cream , i.e. you really taste the chemicals and staleness of the boughten stuff. I use fresh ground flour. My kiddso now much prefer this over store bought. Of course, they also like to taste of original KT with no juice added. Strange, but that isn't bad, but still need to lose more weight. Might have to start back packing again soon. Or square dancing. But still get a lot of exercise jumping to conclusions, marching to a different drummer, passing the buck, or back peddling when I see hard work coming in the door. Your happy sense of humour is as much a tonic as the Kombucha and Kefir I guzzle every day. It makes me thoroughly giggly on the inside. I thank the Lord for you! Yaakov, with burning so much energy each day (much more than the ordinary mortal like me), it's NO SURPSRISE that your body shouts for more energy input i.e. carbs and sugars. I think, we were talking about folks who have a sweet tooth or unhealthy habits but don't burn off the energy necessary to offset the mounting up calories and accumulating fat storage round the midrift ;-) However we are not camels and it's therefore undesirable to allow too much fat storage, as it just slows us down and makes us sluggish. Therefore, Kombucha can be the perfect and welcome antidote to ward off too many sweet feelings. It works well with me, and so does Kefir!! What do you do to burn sooo many calories each day, and how do you know how many you burn? > ..... And the kombucha is just as tasty as ever. Of course it is, Yaakov. Nobody said it wasn't! ;-) Shalom-Shalom, Margret:-) -- +---------------------------------------------------------------+ Minstrel@... <)))<>< http://www.therpc.f9.co.uk <)))<>< http://www.AnswersInGenesis.com http://www.lamblion.com/ +---------------------------------------------------------------+ God keeps His eye upon you as you come and go, and always guards you. Guest guest
Really? I'm drinking half a liter of kombucha everymorning, burning roughly 4000-5000 calories a day, and craving lots of carbs and sugars all the time. I can't imagine it actually being unhealthy, I don't feel too sore from that much physical activity, and I thank the kombucha for that, but I know I'm burning the sugars the right way, and I generally keep the actual sugar intake down, eating as much whole grains and rice as I can. An the kombucha is just as tasty as ever. Yaakov 2006/11/21, Margret Pegg : > In message you wrote: > > > > Darn!!! Now I'll have to let my friends take the rest of those lovely > > cookies home. I just find it funny how I'm still constantly craving these things, even with my kombucha intake. > However we are not camels and it's therefore undesirable to allow too much > fat storage, as it just slows us down and makes us sluggish. > > Therefore, Kombucha can be the perfect and welcome antidote to ward off > too many sweet feelings. Well, right now, I'm delivering packages by bike in Manhattan, and biking up to 30 miles a day, four times a week. The general rule of thumb is 100 calories per mile. (60 calories per kilometer, but then you gotta figure more calories are burnt healing, and in the spare time. It's really just alot of athletic training. > > .....
