Tell me how do you feed the mushroom to make it fat....

1)take the SCOBY place it in a clean Jar

2)Pour Fresh Sweet Tea Mixture on it and that is it??? "

I keep mine in a pickle jar about one pint size, on the kitchen bench. I use

sweetened tea as the matrix - some Russians use half tea and half water - China

black tea. Then I taste every few days and if it is not sweet enough (should

taste sweet) then I put in a couple of heaped teaspoons of raw sugar. They grow

pretty much as fast as poss with this I find.

Also, every couple of weeks I take out scoby and carefully drain out

the liquid into a glass or plastic container, not metal, leaving yeast in the

bottom of jar. Then I rinse the jar out really well, getting rid of the yeast

from the bottom of jar - put scoby back into matrix and off it goes again.
